Shepherd's Cross fiber is produced right here on the farm, and our farm is Animal Welfare Approved. Our sheep and alpaca free range on the luxurious hillsides of North Eastern Oklahoma. We were living by the
standards of sustainable agriculture before the term was coined. Our wool is produced in a 100% natural manner.
Our Lopi yarn is softly spun, like the Icelandic Lopi, and a wonderful bulky yarn. Great for felting after knitting, weaving or crocheting, Weight: 4 oz;.Length: 160 yards; Needle Type: 5-6mm; WPI: approx. 6
We wash our fiber here on the farm with our own hand made, natural soap. We then spin our hand spun fibers right here on the farm. Some of our fiber is sent to a local mill to spin our fingering, sport, worsted and lopi yarns. Some of our yarns are natural colors and some are hand dyed with GayWool Dyes, right here on the farm.
Wool products are naturally fire resistant, warm during cool weather and cool during warm weather.
